To optimize my resume, I used targeted prompts that asked AI to reframe my experience for specific industries. I requested versions tailored for marketing and design, asked for a professional layout, and then prompted the AI to enhance each draft further. These prompts helped the system understand not just what content I had, but how I wanted it reshaped depending on the audience.

Between the original and AI-generated versions, several things changed. The language became more action oriented and measurable, with clearer descriptions of my accomplishments. The AI also emphasized different strengths depending on the industry; strategic thinking, analytics, and branding for marketing, and creativity, visual communication, and aesthetics for design. The structure became more polished and aligned with industry expectations.

From this process, I learned how important prompt engineering is in shaping the final product. Specific, detailed prompts lead to more accurate and relevant results. I also learned that tailoring content for different audiences means adjusting tone, highlighting certain skills, and aligning keywords with what employers in that field value most.
